Caroline joined HKW in 2001. Her primary responsibility includes overseeing all divestitures; including collaboration with the Operations team and HKW portfolio companies management teams to focus on value creation and eventual company exit. To date, Caroline has overseen the successful exit of more than twenty portfolio companies. In addition, Caroline works with the Sourcing team on deal generation initiatives.
Prior to joining HKW, Caroline practiced law at Wooden & McLaughlin, LLP, representing corporate defendants in complex commercial litigation, product liability, and professional malpractice cases. Caroline earned her law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont, graduating summa cum laude. Caroline is active with a number of non-profit organizations, including The Children’s TherAplay Foundation and the Providence Cristo Rey High School.
Caroline lives in Indianapolis, IN with her husband Joe. When not in the office, they enjoy spending time on their Brown County property, building trails, and hiking with their dogs (and sometimes with their college-aged son and daughter).
