Ted H. Kramer | President & CEO


Ted joined HKW in 2001 and has led the sourcing activities of the firm since 2002. In 2007 Ted became a Partner, and in 2014 Ted was appointed President of HKW. In August of 2015, Ted assumed the position of President & CEO of HKW. Prior to HKW, Ted was an Investment Manager at White River Venture Partners, a venture capital fund based in Indianapolis. Ted also worked for Arthur Andersen, LLP in the business consulting group. Prior to his business career, Ted played professional hockey.

Luke joined HKW in 2004. Prior to joining the firm, Luke was a Financial Analyst at Prospect Partners, a lower middle market private equity firm. Prior to Prospect Partners, Luke worked in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at A.G. Edwards & Sons in St. Louis.

Michael A. Foisy | Lead Operations Partner


Mike joined HKW in January 2008. Prior to joining HKW, Mike served as Business Unit Manager of the First Technology Division of Sensata Technologies, a Bain Capital Partners, LLC company. Previously, Mike held several financial and operational management positions during his 14 year tenure at First Technology/ Control Devices, Inc. a previous HKW investment.

Jeffrey G. Wood | Senior Partner


Jeff joined HKW in May 2006. Prior to joining HKW, Jeff served as CEO of First Technology, PLC, a London Stock Exchange listed manufacturing company which was sold in March 2006 to Honeywell. In 1994, Jeff was part of the management team of Control Devices, Inc. that partnered with HKW to acquire the business from GTE Sylvania.

James C. Snyder | Partner


Jim joined HKW in August 1999, after serving two years as Vice President of Browning Investments, Inc., an Indianapolis-based real estate development firm. In the previous seven years, Jim served as special counsel to Indianapolis Mayor Stephen Goldsmith and directed the financial affairs of the city from that position.

Caroline L. Young | Partner


Caroline joined HKW in 2001. Prior to joining the firm, Caroline practiced law at the Indianapolis law firm of Wooden & McLaughlin, LLP. At Wooden & McLaughlin, Caroline represented corporate defendants in complex commercial litigation, product liability and professional malpractice cases.

John M. Carsello | Partner


John joined HKW in 2007. Prior to joining HKW, John was an Analyst at Norwest Equity Partners (NEP), a middle-market private equity firm based in Minneapolis. Preceding NEP, John worked in investment banking in the Global Industrial and Services Group at Credit Suisse in Chicago.

Kent W. Robinson | Partner, Operations


Kent joined HKW in April 2015. Prior to joining HKW, Kent worked for 9 years at Stanley Security, a division of Stanley Black & Decker, in a variety of management and executive leadership roles. Preceding Stanley, Kent worked for JohnsonDiversey and Arthur Andersen Business Consulting.

Constantine joined HKW as the Controller in 2005. Prior to joining the firm, Constantine was an Accounting Manager at Palmeri Fund Administrators Inc., a leading provider of private equity administration services. He also worked for Putnam Lovell Capital Partners.

Chris joined HKW as an Analyst in 2011. Prior to joining the firm, Chris worked as an Investment Banking Analyst in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Sagent Advisors in New York.

Ryan M. Grand joined HKW as a Manager of Deal Generation in 2014. Prior to joining the firm, Ryan worked as an investment banker in the public finance sector at both Jefferies LLC and Mesirow Financial.

Thomas P. Shaw joined HKW as a Vice President in 2016. Prior to joining the firm, Tom was an Associate at Wynnchurch Capital, a middle market private equity firm based in Chicago. Preceding Wynnchurch, Tom worked in investment banking in the Global Industrials Group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch

Brendan joined HKW as an Associate in 2017.  Prior to joining the firm, Brendan worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Coker Capital Advisors in Charlotte.

Glenn Scolnik | Senior Advisor


Glenn joined HKW in 1993 and grew with the firm to become its President and CEO in 1998. From 1978 through 1992, Glenn specialized in mergers and acquisitions at Sommer Barnard PC, HKW’s outside general counsel. Prior to his law career, Glenn played professional football.

Roy joined HKW in 1971 when it was a private merchant bank and grew with the firm to become its President and CEO and then its Chairman. During the 1980s, Roy helped move HKW toward its future in long-term investments through the acquisition of operating companies.

James O. Futterknecht, Jr. | Senior Advisor


Jim joined HKW in 1999. Prior to joining the firm, he served as Chairman, CEO and President of Excel Industries, Inc., an automotive components supplier. In 1983, Jim was part of the management who partnered with HKW to acquire Excel Industries. In 1984, the management team took Excel public and eventually merged the company with Dura Automotive Systems, Inc.

J. Richard Jones | Senior Advisor

Dick served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Process Automation Group of FKI from 1988 to June of 1992 and Group President and Chief Executive Officer from June 1992 to January 1997.

In 1997, Dick led a successful management buyout with UBS Capital of all of FKI’s Automotive Group’s assets. After a public bond offering was completed, Dura Automotive Systems acquired FKI’s Automotive Group. Dick became its Vice Chairman and a Director.
